Equimotional is the trading name of Charlotte Vicary, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. Charlotte Vicary trading as Equimotional is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice — meaning we decide how and why it is used, and we are responsible for looking after it.

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account details — your name, email address and sign-in credentials, so we can create and secure your account (legal basis: performing our contract with you).
• Family and child details you choose to add — such as a child's first name or nickname, interests and progress, so we can personalise projects, badges and certificates. Children never hold their own accounts and their names are never shown publicly (legal basis: performing our contract with you).
• Messages you send us — so we can answer questions and provide support (legal basis: legitimate interests).
• Usage and device data — such as pages visited, device type and IP address, to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and improve it (legal basis: legitimate interests).

Payment details are collected and processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, when you make a purchase — we never see or store your card details.

We share personal data only where needed, with:

• Service providers who host and operate the platform, storage and analytics on our behalf;
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, who processes sales, subscriptions, payments, tax compliance and invoicing;
• Professional advisers (such as accountants or legal advisers) where necessary;
• Authorities where we are required to do so by law.

We never sell your personal data.

Some of our service providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses to protect your data.

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including legal, accounting and tax requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
